Dr. Cavelline Martin-Darby earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from South University, a Master of Science in Nursing - Advanced Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) from Florida International University, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Wilkes University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University. Cavelline has been an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) since 2016 and is Board Certified by both the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Born in Jamaica, Dr. Darby came to the United States of America at the age of twenty-six, at which time she attended Miami Dade College School of Nursing. Cavelline immigrated to the United States with many ambitions and dreams in mind.
In 2021, Cavelline and her husband, Charles, founded their own practice, Hammocks Medical Care, in Kendall, Florida. Cavelline offers preventive care, annual physical exams, medication management, education, and reconciliation, psychiatric mental health care, to include: Grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and much more, across all lifespan.
Today, Cavelline knows the sky is the limit and that she cannot ask for more. She has been able to complete a wonderful career, has a talented and ambitious military son, Egon; and is happily married to a great and adorable man who has always supported her in all spheres of life.
Dr. Darby has also served as a Nursing Leader and mentor at various hospitals in Miami. As a clinician, Cavelline is consistently looking for creative ways to enhance patient knowledge and promote high quality patient care, exceptional customer service skills and taking the time to listen to patients' concerns, reason why, she decided to create this practice. However, all this would not be possible without the most high God, who has always been the chief cornerstone in my life.
