Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the stomach and intestines, also called the gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms include cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, and diarrhea or constipation, or both. IBS is a chronic condition that you'll need to manage long term.
Diverticulitis
The presence of diverticula is known as diverticulosis. When one or more of the pouches become inflamed, and in some cases infected, that condition is known as diverticulitis. Diverticulitis can cause severe abdominal pain, fever, nausea and a marked change in your bowel habits.
Appendicitis
Appendicitis is an abdominal pain that is caused by the organ becoming swollen. Typically, the pain associated with the appendix will start in the belly button area. It will then move down and end up in the lower side area of the abdomen. The pain will take about twelve to 24 hours to make the journey from the belly button to the lower side.
Diarrhea
From the food you eat to life’s stresses to catching the stomach flu, there are many causes of diarrhea. Most diarrhea triggers are from everyday events, foods that might upset the stomach, poor gut health, diet or common viruses. However, some cases may signal an underlying medical condition. Diarrhea can be caused by various factors. Temporary diarrhea usually lasts one to two days and can be a result of food ingested, a viral or bacterial infection, or even traveling.
Constipation
We provide care for children, adolescents. For most people, constipation can be traced to a few common causes such as how much fiber they are eating, their fluid intake, use of certain medications, avoiding going to the bathroom or how much physical activity they are getting. Also, other medical conditions such as stroke, diabetes, intestinal blockage, or low thyroid hormones as well as problems with the colon may also contribute to constipation.
Abdominal Pain
Abdominal pain has many potential causes. The most common causes — such as gas pains, indigestion or a pulled muscle — usually may not be serious. Other conditions may require urgent medical attention. While the location and pattern of abdominal pain can provide important clues, its time course is particularly useful when determining its cause.
